Mr William Byrd

William Byrd has over two and a half decades of experience supporting the federal government and the Intelligence Community (IC). Mr. Byrd currently serves as the Chief of Information Sharing at the Department of Homeland Security's Office for Bombing Prevention within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
Most recently, he served as a Deputy Associate Director within CISA, a Senior Advisor at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and Deputy Group Chief at the Joint Counterterrorism Assessment Team (JCAT) within the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). At the Department of Homeland Security, he served in Counterterrorism roles as a Deputy Director, Senior Intelligence Officer, and Branch Chief for the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A). Focus areas at I&A included special event management, suspicious activity reporting analysis, and more. Prior to government service, Mr. Byrd was an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton, working dozens of projects across the federal government.
He has a bachelors from Salisbury University and a Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins University and currently resides in Arlington, VA. In his spare time he is an automotive journalist, primarily reviewing new cars, and covering events for a variety of outlets.
