Col. Weeraphon Soontornsaratoon
With a distinguished military career spanning over a decade, the Ordnance Officer for Army Area Region 4 has extensive experience in explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), military operations, and intelligence. He currently serves as the Deputy Commander of the EOD Anothai Taskforce, a position he has held since 2017.
He began his formal military training at the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, graduating with Class 37, followed by completion of Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy Class 48. He further honed his strategic and leadership skills at the Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC), graduating with Class 89.
In addition to his leadership roles, he has served as an Instructor in the Ballistic and Ordnance Department at the Ordnance School, Royal Thai Army. His operational roles have included stints as an Operation and Intelligence Officer for EOD at the Ordnance Department, where he was integral to several key missions.
His diverse deployments, beginning in 2011, have seen him take on critical roles such as EOD Detachment Commander and Chief of Planning and Operational Control, where he was responsible for overseeing sensitive military operations and intelligence tasks.
Known for his expertise in handling explosive ordnance, his contributions to the Royal Thai Army’s EOD capabilities have been significant, particularly in his ongoing work with the Anothai Taskforce.
