Superintendent Jon Clark
I have been a police officer for 26 years predominantly uniformed operational roles and have been fortunate enough to gain a wealth of experience in a number of specialisms. I am a CBRN Commander providing leadership during complex events, and I am part of the national cadre for specialist firearms commanders, involved in a number of high-profile and high threat operations, including when the G7 leaders came together in Cornwall in 2023. I also enjoy being a public order commander managing a wide a variety of events and protests. As a Gold Commander in the police I have commanded many different types on incidents and been involved in a wide range of exercises, which has allowed me to build strong relationships with colleagues from British Armed Forces and blue light agencies. The last two years I have led the Criminal Justice processes for Derbyshire Constabulary. Having the opportunity to work with partners from across the Criminal Justice System, at a time when it is under significant pressure has been both challenging and rewarding and I will be bringing this experience to the CBRN community.Aas I take over as Head of the National CBRN Centre this Autumn my focus is to deliver a more resilient homeland defence to CBRN threats.
