He has been serving in the military since 2009, during which time he completed a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering. From 2014 to 2017, he was assigned to an Engineer Battalion as an Engineer, a role that included participation in a mission to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Following this assignment, he was appointed as the head of basic military training for non-commissioned officers. In 2020, he began Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) training and has since been part of the Belgian EOD Group, serving as both a Training Officer and an operational deminer.

In his role as an EOD operator, he acts as an intervention officer for territorial Improvised Explosive Device (IED) operations. He has also specialized in Manual Neutralization and CBRNe operations, for which he is responsible for managing the CBRNe capabilities within his unit.
