Mr Erik Zolcer

Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA)
Erik Zolcer is a Policy Officer for CBRN at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (DG HERA), focusing on medical countermeasures for radiological and nuclear threats. He contributes to the EU’s preparedness and response to CBRN incidents through policy development, stakeholder coordination, and guidance to Member States. At DG HERA, he develops EU-wide recommendations for stockpiling medical countermeasures and threat assessments.
He holds a degree in International Relations and has experience across EU institutions, including DG ENEST and the European Parliament. Previously, he managed international aid programmes in the Eastern Partnership, including EU emergency health responses during the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s war against Ukraine. Before joining EU civil service, he worked as a consultant on EU CBRN policy.
