Mr. Dušan Macák graduated from the Faculty of Law at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He completed both Basic and Specialized Police Officer Training, beginning his career as a patrol officer and later serving as a minor crimes investigator.

Since 2017, he has been member of the Slovak Police Force´s specialized CBRN and Environmental Crime Unit. He began as an intelligence officer and, in 2022, advanced to the position of senior officer specialist within the Analytics and Technical Support Unit. He plays an active role in both national and international CBRN security initiatives and training programs.

Mr. Dušan Macák is a leading figure in multi-institutional CBRN cooperation in Slovakia and is a certified IAEA instructor in Radiological Crime Scene Management. As of 2025, he holds the position of Head of the Analytics and Technical Support Unit.
