Prof David Crouch
David Crouch is a distinguished expert in CBRN resilience, with over 30 years of professional experience. He is a Senior Lecturer in Counter-CBRN at Cranfield University, leading the UK Ministry of Defence’s Professional Education Programme. He has worked with international agencies such as UN, DTRA, DARPA, NATO, and Interpol, providing expertise in CBRN operations, education, and training. David is a Visiting Professor at the University of Hertfordshire and holds Fellowships with the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (F.ISRM) and the Institute of Civil Protection & Emergency Management (FICPEM). He previously served as Chairman of CBRN-UK (2016–2019) and currently represents the security and resilience sector on the ADS Council. A Chartered Chemist and Scientist, he is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Senior Associate Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute.
Additionally, David is a member of the Emergency Planning Society (EPS) CBRN Professional Working Group, contributing to policy development and best practices in the field. His academic background includes a BSc in Applied Chemistry, an MBA, an MA in Strategic Defence Studies, and a PhD in Materials Science. His leadership and expertise make him a key figure in CBRN safety and resilience.
