Col. Chamon Malizia De Lamare
Chamon Malizia De Lamare is a colonel of the Brazilian Army, now working in the CBRN section of the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. He studied at the Military Academy of the Agulhas Negras between 1981 and 1984, earned a master's degree in 2002, and PhD in 2010. In 2014, he was the manager of implementation of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense System of the Brazilian Army, and in 2015/2016 was a military adviser to combat CBRN terrorism in major events, promoting various interagency trainings and other activities with the different bodies involved in the preparation and coordination, such as police and other ministries.
In 2017, he headed the CBRN Section of the Ministry of Defense, and the Center for Assistance and Protection against Chemical Weapons was opened in liaison with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Science and Technology with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Numerous activities were carried out with this international organization, such as exercises, capacities, workshops, exchanges and conferences, where I was present, such as in The Hague - Holland and Doha - Qatar, for the development of such works, among many others.
In 2024, he was involved in planning the actions of the Armed Forces, with regard to the preparation, in the form of the Guarantee of Law and Order, for the activities of the G20, the Brazilian Presidency. This planning included CBRN tasks, developed for protection and prevention in the area, specific to the different international delegations taking part in the events in question.
