BG Jae Hoon Yoo
Brigadier General Jae Hoon Yoo currently serves as the 43rd Commandant of the Republic of Korea Army CBRN School. With over 30 years of service, he has contributed extensively to strengthening the Republic of Korea’s capabilities for countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD), including strategic planning, consequence management, and force development.
His leadership includes commanding national-level WMD response operations as the Commander of the CBRN Defense Command, where he also led organizational restructuring and capability enhancement efforts to strengthen the military’s response to CBRN terrorism. He has also served as Chief of the CBRN Branch at the Joint Chiefs of Staff, leading strategic planning efforts, and as Chief of the WMD Response Branch at the Ground Operations Command, contributing to field-level coordination and readiness.
In addition to his operational experience, BG Yoo has played a key role in institutional development. As the Commandant of the ROK Army CBRN School, he is leading efforts to modernize CBRN education and training, develop professional personnel, and enhance readiness to address evolving threats.
He holds advanced degrees in Biochemistry and Engineering, which support his strategic leadership with a solid scientific and technical foundation.
