Lt. Col. Ahed Faisal Al-Nassan is a seasoned professional in hazardous materials management and laboratory safety, currently serving as the Head of the HAZMAT Department at the Jordanian Civil Defense under the Directorate of Public Security. With a career spanning over two decades, Lt. Col. Al-Nassan brings extensive expertise in self-protection, risk assessment, and emergency response operations. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, where he studied from 1995 to 2000.

Lt. Col. Al-Nassan assumed his current role as Hazardous Materials and Laboratory Inspection Manager in December 2024. Prior to this, he held several key leadership positions within the Civil Defense, including:

• Training Center Commander – Civil Defense North (December 8, 2024)

• Deputy Director – Directorate of Civil Defense, West Amman (2024)

• Deputy Director – Directorate of Civil Defense, East Amman (2023–2024)

• Deputy Director – Directorate of Civil Defense, Zarqa (2020–2023)

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional capabilities in staff training and supervision, risk assessment and management, and incident investigation and reporting. His solid command of both Arabic (native) and English (good proficiency) further supports his ability to operate in diverse and dynamic environments.

Lt. Col. Al-Nassan is recognized for his dedication to public safety and for his pivotal contributions to the development and implementation of hazardous materials protocols across Jordan.
