Professor Al Najjar is a distinguished leader in the field of emergency medical services (EMS) education and research, currently serving as the Director of the EMS Education and Research Department at National Ambulance. With over 27 years of extensive experience across 23 countries, he has made significant contributions to the advancement of emergency medical education and learning development worldwide.

In addition to his role at National Ambulance, Professor Najjar is a Professor of EMS Education at the Faculty of Dentistry, Trisakti University. He is also an esteemed Instructor in Emergency Medicine at the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. His academic endeavors extend to the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine, where he is involved in the Physician Associate – Remote Medical Associate Degree program. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to fostering the next generation of EMS professionals by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their field.

Professor Najjar holds the distinction of being certified as an EMS Medical Director by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi. His expertise has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Al Safeer Dubai Ambassador title, the National Guard Command UAE Award, and the 2023 Regional Award for Outstanding Achievement in EMS. These accolades reflect his unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in emergency medical services.

In addition to his teaching and leadership roles, Professor Najjar is currently an Adjunct Professor at West Newcastle College, where he continues to influence EMS education on an international scale. He also serves as the Chairman of the NAEMT Mideast Education Committee and as the Vice-Chairman of the International Committee of the National Association of EMS Educators (NAEMSE) in the United States. His leadership in these organizations showcases his dedication to enhancing the standards and practices of EMS education globally.

Professor Najjar is an active contributor to the academic community as an International Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS). His role on the editorial advisory board allows him to influence the dissemination of research and best practices in emergency medical services, further advancing the field through knowledge sharing.
