Ms. Margarita Lazyan currently serves as the Head of department on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education and Victim Assistance at the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise, in Yerevan, Armenia. She is responsible for raising awareness campaigns on mine risks at both regional and national level, conducting training on Explosive Ordnance Risk Education, monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the data collection process on Victim Assistance, but also developing response plans with the support of other local and international stakeholders such as the UN. Prior to joining the Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise, she worked for 17 years as a Senior Program Assistant at the Political and Military Affairs Unit at the OSCE Office in Yerevan. Ms. Lazyan holds a Diploma of International Law and Jurisprudence from the Armenian Open University in Yerevan and a Diploma in English and Russian Languages and Russian Literature from the Yerevan State Linguistic University.
