General Supathat Narindarabhakdi’s educational background includes, Bachelor Degree on Civil Engineering from Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, Mine Warfare Course, Armor Officer Advance and Battalion Motor Officer Course from Fort Knox, Command and General Staff Course from Command and General Staff College of the Royal Thai Army, Joint War Course and National Defence Course from the National Defence Studies Institute.
General Supathat’s career as a Calvary officer began at the Royal Thai Army. During his career at the Army, he served as the Tank Company Commander of 5th Tank Battalion, instructor at Calvary School, and instructor at Command and General Staff College. Once he was transferred to the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, his important positions were Director of Technical Affairs Division, Chief of Staff, Deputy Commandant before serving his most recent position as Commandant of Joint War College at National Defence Studies Institute.
General Supathat also had various field experience as follows: – Chief Personnel, Task Force 972 Thai/East Timor (INTERFET) – Chief Military Personnel Officer of PKF UNTAET – Chief Personnel Task Force 976 Thai/Iraq – Staff Officer of Personnel Branch, Department of Peace Promotion, Southern Border Provinces
