COL Christopher A. Caldwell, JTF-CS

Colonel Christopher A. Caldwell currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Joint Task Force Civil Support, Fort Eustis, VA. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Director of Operations (J3), also at JTF-CS. He spent the first 17 years of his Army career as a field artilleryman at enlisted and officer levels and his battalion deployed to Ramadi, Iraq in 2005-06. His artillery career culminated as Battalion Commander of 2-222 FA BN. 

Caldwell’s interagency experience from 2010 to present includes assignments as Director of Military Support for emergency response, CBRN Task Force Commander, Army Interagency Fellowship at the U.S. Border Patrol, and WMD-Civil Support Team Commander. 

JTF-CS was responsible for over 3,000 DoD medical & support personnel in NY and NJ (Mar-Jun 2020), COVID Vaccine operations with 20 DoD-supported vaccine sites in 15 states (Feb-Jun 2021), and is currently providing mission command for COVID medical operations in multiple states.
