COL William J. Epolito currently serves as the Military Deputy for Warfighter Integration to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense (DASD(CBD)). In this capacity he serves as the military strategic advisor and counsel to DASD and his staff. He is responsible for warfighter integration including mission integration; Combatant Commands, Joint Staff and Services engagements and requirements; and creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships to enable success.  The office of the DASD/CBD is the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD) for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs (NCB) and conducts Department level research, development, and acquisition (RDA) activities.  COL Epolito most recently was assigned as the Chief of Staff for the Joint CBRN Defence Centre of Excellence, an accredited NATO Military Body, located in Vyškov, Czech Republic (2019-2022).  He has served at all levels from company to Combatant Command, and has deployed twice to Iraq as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.  COL Epolito received his commission in the Chemical Corps and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering; Masters in Environmental Engineering; Masters in Military Operational Art and Science; and Professional Engineering License.
